General Code of Conduct
Sanskriti College is committed to maintaining a high standard of discipline and expects all students to adhere to the following code of conduct to ensure a harmonious and productive academic atmosphere:
- Students must carry their identity cards at all times within the college premises and present them upon request by college authorities.
- Punctuality in attending lectures, practicals, and other academic activities is mandatory.
- Maintain silence and decorum in classrooms, library, laboratories, and administrative areas.
- Students are expected to dress modestly and appropriately for an educational institution.
- Keep the campus clean and tidy. Use dustbins for litter and cooperate in maintaining the college property.
- Respect faculty members, staff, and fellow students. Any form of disrespect or insubordination will be dealt with strictly.
- Mobile phones should be switched off or in silent mode during lectures, in the library, and during examinations.
Attendance Policy
Regular attendance is crucial for academic success. Sanskriti College adheres to the attendance requirements stipulated by the University Of Rajasthan.
- A minimum of 75% attendance in lectures, practicals, and tutorials is mandatory for students to be eligible to appear for university examinations.
- Attendance records are maintained by respective departments and will be displayed periodically.
- Leave of absence for valid reasons (medical emergencies, unavoidable family circumstances) must be applied for in writing to the concerned Head of Department/Principal, along with supporting documents.
- Students falling short of the required attendance may be debarred from appearing in examinations as per university rules.
Library Rules
- Maintain absolute silence in the library.
- Identity card is compulsory for entry and for borrowing books.
- Books are issued for a specific period and must be returned or renewed on or before the due date to avoid fines.
- Marking, underlining, or damaging library books is strictly prohibited. Lost or damaged books must be replaced or paid for.
- Personal belongings (except notebooks and essential stationery) should be left outside the library at the designated counter.
- Use of mobile phones is not permitted inside the library.
Laboratory Rules
Safety and discipline are paramount in laboratories:
- Students must wear appropriate lab coats/aprons as required.
- Follow all safety instructions given by the lab instructor.
- Handle equipment and chemicals with utmost care. Any damage or breakage must be reported immediately.
- Maintain a record of experiments performed as instructed.
- Food and drinks are strictly prohibited inside laboratories.
- Unauthorized experiments are not allowed.
- Keep workstations clean and tidy after use.
Prohibited Actions & Disciplinary Measures
The following actions are strictly prohibited within the college campus and may lead to disciplinary action, including suspension or expulsion:
- Ragging in any form (Refer to Anti-Ragging Policy).
- Possession or consumption of alcohol, tobacco products, narcotics, or any intoxicating substances.
- Any form of gambling or betting.
- Theft or damage to college property or personal belongings of others.
- Misbehavior with faculty, staff, or fellow students; use of abusive language.
- Disruption of academic activities or any college-organized event.
- Possession of weapons or any object that can be used to cause harm.
- Misuse of college internet facilities for unauthorized or illegal activities.
- Any act that tarnishes the reputation of the college.
The decision of the College Disciplinary Committee will be final and binding in all matters of misconduct.
Important Note
These rules and regulations are subject to change as per the directives of the college management, University Of Rajasthan, or government authorities. Students are advised to stay updated by checking the college notice board and website regularly.
Ignorance of rules will not be accepted as an excuse for non-compliance.
