Our Commitment to Transparency
Sanskriti College is committed to upholding the principles of transparency and accountability as enshrined in the Right to Information (RTI) Act, 2005. This Act provides citizens with the right to access information under the control of public authorities, with the objective of promoting transparency and accountability in the working of every public authority.
As an educational institution receiving aid (if applicable, otherwise state 'as an institution committed to public good'), we endeavor to provide information as per the provisions of the RTI Act, subject to the exemptions stipulated therein.

Objectives of the RTI Act
The basic object of the Right to Information Act is to empower the citizens, promote transparency and accountability in the working of the Government, contain corruption, and make our democracy work for the people in real sense. It goes without saying that an informed citizen is better equipped to keep necessary vigil on the instruments of governance and make the government more accountable to the governed.
Procedure for Obtaining Information
- Application: A citizen who desires to obtain any information under this Act shall make a request in writing or through electronic means in English or Hindi or in the official language of the area, to the Public Information Officer (PIO) of Sanskriti College, specifying the particulars of the information sought.
- Fee: The application should be accompanied by the prescribed application fee. (Details of the fee structure can be obtained from the PIO or the college website/notice board). The fee can be paid by way of cash against a proper receipt or by demand draft or bankers cheque or Indian Postal Order payable to the Principal, Sanskriti College.
- Response Time: The PIO shall, as expeditiously as possible, and in any case within thirty days of the receipt of the request, either provide the information on payment of such further fee as may be prescribed or reject the request for any of the reasons specified in Sections 8 and 9 of the Act.
- Information Exempted: Certain categories of information are exempt from disclosure under Sections 8 and 9 of the RTI Act. These include information that would prejudicially affect the sovereignty and integrity of India, information forbidden to be published by any court of law, information received in confidence from foreign Government, etc.
